Carriers integration

Aramex + ReturnMate

Coming SoonThis integration is on the public roadmap and not yet implemented. The capabilities described below are planned. Register interest below to be notified the moment it ships, and to influence roadmap priority.

Aramex is one of the few carriers with both deep Australian and New Zealand domestic networks (under the Aramex AU and Aramex NZ brands, formerly Fastway Couriers) and a strong global cross-border network through its MENA-headquartered parent. ReturnMate's Aramex integration is on the roadmap — once shipped, it will give AU and NZ merchants a real domestic alternative to AusPost / NZ Post and unlock cross-border returns into the Middle East and APAC. Register interest below.

§ 01 — Capabilities

What the integration does.

  • Planned: AU and NZ domestic labels via the franchise courier network
  • Planned: International cross-border services into MENA, APAC, and beyond
  • Planned: Live rate quoting and pickup booking
  • Planned: Tracking sync via Aramex's tracking API
  • Planned: DG capability for the markets Aramex supports (limited compared to TNT/StarTrack but useful for some classes)
  • Planned: Aramex Drop Shop drop-off network in AU + NZ
§ 02 — Use cases

How merchants use it.

AU merchant alternative to AusPost

For AU merchants where AusPost is the wrong fit (size limits, price, or service area), Aramex AU's franchise network covers most metropolitan and regional zones with competitive pricing. The roadmapped integration will rate-shop alongside AusPost and StarTrack at the customer portal.

NZ merchant alternative to NZ Post

Aramex NZ runs a parallel franchise network across New Zealand. Useful as a primary or backup carrier for NZ-resident merchants and a complement to Mainfreight for trans-Tasman volume.

Cross-border returns into MENA and APAC

For merchants with Middle East or APAC customers, Aramex's global network is one of the few cost-effective options for inbound returns from those markets. Customs documentation will be generated automatically.

§ 04 — FAQ

Questions about Aramex.

When will the Aramex integration be available?

No firm public date yet — the timing depends on merchant demand and the priority of competing roadmap items. Registering your interest moves the priority forward and gets you notified the moment it ships.

How does Aramex AU compare to AusPost for ecommerce returns?

Aramex AU's franchise courier model gives broader pickup coverage in many regional and metropolitan zones than AusPost's parcel pickup, often at competitive rates. AusPost wins on small-parcel pricing under 1kg and on PO Box / rural delivery; Aramex tends to win on larger parcels and pickup-from-business scenarios. The roadmapped integration will let merchants rate-shop both at the customer portal.

Is Aramex the same as Fastway?

Aramex Australia and Aramex New Zealand are the rebranded Fastway Couriers franchises (rebranded in 2019). The franchise model and pickup network are the same; the brand and global parent network are now Aramex.

Can I use Aramex with ReturnMate today via the REST API?

Yes, partially. ReturnMate's REST API and webhook system can bridge a custom Aramex integration today, but you'll need to handle Aramex's authentication and label generation yourself. The roadmapped native integration removes that work for you.
