DHL + ReturnMate
DHL provides global parcel and freight coverage with particularly strong networks across Europe, APAC, and the Middle East. ReturnMate's DHL integration is on the roadmap — once shipped, it will give merchants a direct route for international returns through DHL Express and DHL eCommerce services. Register your interest below to be notified when the integration is live.
What the integration does.
- Planned: DHL Express international labels with time-definite delivery
- Planned: DHL eCommerce / Parcel International for cost-effective slower transit
- Planned: Pickup booking via DHL's scheduling API
- Planned: DG capability for the markets DHL serves
- Planned: Multi-package consignments and EU customs documentation
- Planned: Tracking sync via DHL's push notification webhooks
How merchants use it.
EU-resident merchants
Once shipped, DHL will be the default carrier for EU-resident merchants on ReturnMate, particularly for cross-border EU returns where DHL has the broadest single-carrier network.
Cross-border APAC returns
DHL Express is the dominant air-express carrier across APAC, useful for AU and NZ merchants with regional customers as an alternative to FedEx International.
High-value time-sensitive returns
For high-value items where transit speed matters (luxury goods, time-critical electronics), DHL Express's 1–3 day international service will offer an alternative to the current FedEx-only path.

Questions about DHL.
When will the DHL integration be available?
No firm public date yet — the timing depends on merchant demand and the priority of competing roadmap items. Registering your interest moves the priority forward and gets you notified the moment it ships.
Can I use DHL with ReturnMate today via the REST API?
Yes, partially. ReturnMate's REST API and webhook system can be used to bridge a custom DHL integration today, but you'll need to handle DHL's authentication, label generation, and tracking sync yourself. The roadmapped integration removes that work for you. See the REST API page for the bridge approach.
Will DHL handle dangerous goods?
Yes — DHL accepts most DG classes for international shipments with the right transport documents. The roadmapped integration will include DG-aware routing similar to how StarTrack and TNT work for AU.
