One introduction. Commission for the life of the account.
Refer a Shopify merchant drowning in returns, warranties or repairs. We run the demo, the install, the onboarding and the support. You earn up to 25% of their subscription revenue for as long as they stay a customer.

Commission on a real plan, not a percentage in the abstract.
ReturnMate is priced for operators, not for impulse installs — and commission doesn't expire. A handful of good referrals compounds into standing income.
Standard partners earn 20%. Consistent referrers qualify for 25%. Enterprise deals can be arranged separately.
3 Growth merchants at 20% — every year they stay subscribed.
Illustrative, based on current list pricing (USD). Commission is calculated on subscription revenue actually received, for the lifetime of each referred customer's subscription. Attribution, cancellations, refunds, GST treatment and payout timing are set out in the partner agreement on approval.
Four steps. Only the second one is yours.
Demo, technical questions, Shopify install, onboarding, ongoing support — all ours. You make the introduction and stay as involved as you want.
Apply and get your dashboard
We review applications so the program stays useful to people genuinely close to Shopify merchants. Approval gives you a referral link and a live dashboard.
Introduce a suitable merchant
Share your link, or register the merchant from your dashboard and make the intro yourself. No pitching, pricing or demoing required.
We take it from there
We map their current returns and warranty workflow, run the demo, answer every technical question and handle install and onboarding.
You get paid, monthly
Commission starts when they become a paying customer and keeps coming for as long as that subscription runs. Tracked in your dashboard.

Three screens that do the explaining for you.
You don't need to know the product to make the introduction — but if a merchant asks what it looks like, this is enough. All of it is in your partner material, cleared for external use.

Self-service returns portal
Branded, on their domain. Customers start the return themselves instead of emailing support.

Dangerous goods compliance
Lithium and DG paperwork generated at label time. This is usually the moment the merchant stops shopping around.

Cost and fault analytics
What returns actually cost, by SKU and supplier — the number that funds the subscription.
If you already talk to Shopify merchants, you qualify.
The skill isn't selling — it's recognising the merchant on the left of a returns problem you've heard them complain about.
Who partners with us
You don't need a client list. One good introduction is a valid start.
What a good-fit merchant looks like
ReturnMate earns its price where returns are operationally expensive — not where they're a refund button.
Everything needed to spot and hand over an opportunity.
Partner dashboard
Your referrals, their stage and your accrued earnings in one place.
Unique referral link
Install and subscription attribution handled automatically through Shopify's own data, not cookies alone.
Manual registration
Register an introduction that never went through a link. Commission is identical.
Commission tracking
See what has accrued, what's confirmed and when it gets paid.
Approved material
Current product overview and screenshots, cleared for external use.
Direct deal assistance
We join the call on larger or more technical opportunities.
Already managing a client portfolio?
There's usually a better structure than the standard referral rate. Apply and mention your portfolio — agency and implementation partnerships are arranged separately.
Discuss an agency partnership →- Recommend ReturnMate where it solves a genuine operational problem, not as an upsell
- Add post-sale operations to the solutions you already offer clients
- Introduce it during Shopify builds, migrations, optimisation work or ops reviews
- Generate recurring revenue without building or supporting the software
- Handle implementation yourself under a separate partnership arrangement
The questions people ask before applying.
Do I have to sell ReturnMate myself?
No. An introduction is the whole job. We run the demonstration, answer technical and compliance questions, handle Shopify installation and onboarding, and support the merchant after launch. Stay in the loop as much or as little as you want.
How are referrals tracked — and what if the intro never goes through a link?
Two ways, both fully supported. Merchants arriving through your unique link are attributed automatically using Shopify's official install and subscription data. For a personal introduction — an email intro, a name passed to our team — you register the merchant from your dashboard and we approve it. An approved manual referral pays exactly the same as a link-tracked one. Register before you make the introduction where you can, so attribution is recorded before the conversation starts.
What makes a referral eligible for commission?
A legitimate operating business, on Shopify or actively moving to it, with an identifiable return, warranty, repair or post-sale requirement, genuine interest in evaluating ReturnMate, no prior introduction to or engagement with us, and submitted through your link or registered in your dashboard. Merchants already in conversation with ReturnMate aren't eligible — registering first is the reliable way to avoid a conflict.
How long does commission last, and is there a cap?
For the lifetime of the subscription. Commission is paid on subscription revenue received from each referred customer for as long as that referral stays subscribed and eligible — there's no 12-month cliff. There's also no cap on the number of referrals or on total commission.
What if my referral is a large or complex opportunity?
Tell us when you register it. Enterprise and larger opportunities can qualify for custom partner arrangements, and our team joins calls directly to support you.
I run an agency with a client portfolio. Is this the right program?
It can be, but there's usually a better structure available. If you're placing ReturnMate across multiple clients, or want to handle implementation yourself, apply and mention your portfolio — agency and implementation partnerships are arranged separately.
